Natural Makeup Recommendations

I took this picture tonight on my cell phone of my makeup stash. Yeah I realize it's not much. I'm ok with that. When I do wear make-up, I put on my Skin MD moisturizer, then I wear my Estee Lauder Foundation, and just put on some Maybelline eye shadow. I finish with a light line of eye liner and some mascara. Right now, I am completely running low on my foundation. I keep meaning to buy more, but I'm holding off because I really am thinking of buying some natural makeup. I just don't know where to start or what to buy. So, I'm coming to ask those of you who use natural makeup:

*What natural moisturizer do you use?
*What natural foundation do you use?
*Which natural eye shadow do you use?
*Eye liner?
*Mascara?

Any tips you can give me, I would appreciate them.

  1. I only use Mary Kay and Clinique. I have used both of these brands for many, many years. LOVE them.

  2. I've used both of those before Salena and while I like them, I also realize they aren't natural, so I probably won't switch to them. Unless they have changed in recent years and make natural products?

  3. Not a clue, it's what I like and what doesn't make my skin irritated as I have extremely sensitive skin.
What about something like Bare Minerals...?

  4. You bring up a good point Salena...my skin also is very sensitive. Thus, I don't really want to switch, but feel like I should at least give natural makeup a try as I use natural products in almost every other area of my life.

Thanks for the reminder of Bare Minerals..I'll have to look into it!

  5. I have SO much makeup it's ridiculous. It's the only area in my life where I have a hard time going natural. Well, and highlighting my hair.

  6. Let me know what you find out about the make-up! I too have sensitive skin so I use Lancome, since it's the only thing that hasn't irritated my skin or my eyes. They have a tinted mosturizer that I love!!! I'm too chicken to try anything after I tried Mary Kay and it didn't go well!!!

  7. Gen-I figured you would have done the research already and found all the makeup that is natural. I still can't find any. And you do have a ton!

Charlene-I'll let you know what I find out. I'm a bit nervous too to try something different, but we will see.

  8. Try Everyday Minerals: http://www.everydayminerals.com/

I used this foundation when I was pregnant, when I carefully screened all products that I used. I no longer screen everything but fewer additives are probably always better anyway:)

  10. Bare Minerals are the best in my opinion...I have tried everything under the sun and this is the first makeup that has not bothered my sensitive skin. Also Daisy Blue Naturals is great natural makeup...a company started by a mom.

  11. Thank you so, so much Michelle for chiming in your thoughts! I'm going to look both of them up and hopefully make a decision soon on what to buy!
