It's been one of those weeks!

Last week was just one of those weeks. Actually, the last two weeks have been just one of those weeks. It's mainly been that way with Meridian. She got a little cold, plus her last tooth before her two year molars popped through. Couple all that with a little seperation anxiety and it has been an exhausting two weeks for me.  My typically easy, laid back little girl has been anything but all of that. Lots of tears for both of us, lots of snuggles, lots of nursing, and lots of exhaustion.

I know one day I'm going to miss the tears, the screaming for mama, the holding her all the time, but these past two weeks have been hard on me, wearing me down. I'm sure it's probably a bit harder being that I have two others who need me lots too (especially a baby). I'm hoping we are on to a new week and one that feels a bit more normal for me and her as we really need it!

What do you do when you have a bad week? How do you handle your kids needing you all the time?

  1. When I have one of those weeks I resort to praying, asking my hubby for help and he is SO good at stepping it up more than he already does when I ask, coffee :)it's my one guilty "pick me ups"...going to bed earlier, and honestly knowing in my heart that "this won't last forever," nothing ever does. When I can step back and look at the big picture, I know that these days won't last forever so I tend to embrace them and do lots of holding, snuggling, walking away from the computer and cell phone and just being in the moment!
Hang in there Vanessa, I really hope this week is better. If there is anything I can do fo ryou, let me know :)

  2. Salena-Thank you so much for the encouragement! Chris too is very good at helping. In fact, to give me a break, right now he is cooking! But yes, to also realize it won't last forever is so good...it just feels like it will right now. :( She was slightly better today, so I'm hoping and praying we can only go up from here!

  3. Oh, I know those days can feel like they last forever, but if I keep chanting, "This wont last forever, this wont last forever" I can make it a few more hours until my hubby gets home!

  4. I think if we are honest, we've all had days, maybe even weeks where we think that! I'm so thankful for Chris for his help!
